Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings!!

This Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings recipe seems delicious and perfect for a comforting meal. Here’s a step-by-step guide based on the provided instructions:

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 – 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cans or boxes cream of chicken soup
  • 10 canned regular-size buttermilk biscuits (or 2 small cans, each containing five biscuits)

Instructions:

  1. Place the chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker along with the chopped onion and 2 tablespoons of butter. Sprinkle with dried parsley, seasoned salt, poultry seasoning, and garlic powder.
  2. Add the chicken broth and cream of chicken soup to the slow cooker. Stir all the ingredients together to combine.
  3. Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook the mixture over low heat for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 4-5 hours.
  4. After cooking for at least 6 hours on low or 4 hours on high, remove the lid and stir the mixture with a spoon or fork, breaking apart the chicken into smaller chunks.
  5. Chop the biscuits into quarters and add them to the crockpot. Gently push the biscuit dough down into the mixture, allowing them to absorb the gravy as they cook.
  6. Replace the lid and continue cooking for an additional 1 hour on high heat until the biscuits are fully cooked through and begin to turn golden brown.
  7. Once done, serve and enjoy your delicious and comforting slow cooker chicken and dumplings!

This recipe is perfect for a hearty meal that’s easy to prepare and full of flavor.
