Apple Butter !!

Ingredients:

  • 18 apples (or enough to fill a 6-quart saucepan progressively)
  • 1 ½ tablespoons vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 2/3 cups brown sugar

Directions:

  1. Peel and core the apples, then slice them.
  2. Place the apple slices into a large saucepan. Add the vanilla.
  3. Cook the apples on low heat for 8 hours.
  1. After cooking, mash the apples.
  2. Add cinnamon, white sugar, and brown sugar to the mashed apples.
  3. Cook the mixture on low heat for an additional 6 hours.
  4. Once done, blend the mixture in a blender until it becomes smooth.
  5. Enjoy your homemade apple butter!

This recipe requires quite a long cooking time to achieve the desired consistency and flavor. The slow cooking process helps concentrate the flavors and creates a rich, smooth apple butter. Adjustments to the sweetness or seasoning can be made according to personal taste preferences.
