Homemade Stain Remover
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon Blue Dawn dishwashing detergent
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 4 teaspoons hydrogen peroxide
Instructions:
- Prepare the Stain Remover Solution:
- In a bowl, combine 1 teaspoon of Blue Dawn dishwashing detergent, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and 4 teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide.
- Stir the ingredients together until they are thoroughly mixed and well combined.
- Application:
- If dealing with a stained T-shirt or garment, start by moistening the stained area with approximately 1 cup of warm water.
- Apply the homemade stain remover solution directly onto the stain. Use a toothbrush or a clean cloth to gently agitate the stained area with the solution. Ensure the solution covers the stain completely.
- Let it Sit:
- Allow the stain remover mixture to sit on the stained area for approximately an hour. This time allows the solution to penetrate the stain and begin the cleaning process effectively.
- Wash as Usual:
- After the designated time has passed, proceed to wash the garment as you normally would. You can wash it by hand or machine, following the care instructions for the fabric.
This homemade stain remover solution is specifically designed to tackle tough stains on clothes. After the stain remover has had time to work on the stain and the garment is washed, check to see if the stain has been effectively removed. If necessary, repeat the stain removal process or use another stain treatment method depending on the type of stain and fabric.
