Ingredients:

  • ½ loaf of French baguette or Italian bread, cut into ½-inch pieces
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon powdered garlic
  • 1 cup chopped and pitted tomatoes (about 4 Roma tomatoes)
  • ¼ cup finely chopped red onion (about ¼ red onion)
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 5 freshly cut basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar

Equipment:

  • Quarter sheet baking pan
  • Small cooking pot or shallow saucepan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
