CRISPY CHICKEN STRIPS

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Cut the chicken breasts or tenders into strips and season them with salt and pepper according to your taste preferences.
  2. Create a Coating Station: Set up a breading station using three shallow dishes:
    • Dish 1: All-purpose flour
    • Dish 2: Whisked eggs for an egg wash
    • Dish 3: Breadcrumbs (with optional seasonings or spices added) for the final coating.
  3. Coat the Chicken Strips:
    • Dredge each chicken strip in the flour, ensuring an even coating while shaking off any excess.
    • Dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
    • Roll it in the breadcrumbs, gently pressing to adhere the breadcrumbs to the chicken.
  4. Heat the Oil: In a large, deep skillet or deep fryer, heat the oil to a temperature range of 350-375°F (175-190°C). Ensure enough oil to submerge the chicken strips while frying.
  5. Fry the Chicken Strips: Carefully place the breaded chicken strips into the hot oil,
  6. ensuring they are not overcrowded. Fry them in batches if needed, maintaining the oil’s temperature. Cook until the chicken turns golden brown and cooks through, usually taking around 5-7 minutes depending on strip size.
  1. Drain and Serve: Using a slotted spoon or tongs, transfer the crispy chicken strips to a plate lined with paper towels to drain off excess oil.
  2. Serve and Enjoy: Serve these crunchy delights piping hot with your favorite dipping sauces like ketchup, barbecue sauce, honey mustard, or ranch dressing.
