Butter Toffee Pretzels Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag (16 ounces) small pretzels (any shape)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups Heath Toffee Bits
  • Optional: A sprinkle of sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Preparation: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Spread the pretzels evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Prepare Toffee Mixture:
    • Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  1. Add the packed light brown sugar and stir until fully combined.
  2. Let the mixture boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 3 minutes until it reaches a syrupy consistency.
  3. Add Flavorings:
    • Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the pure vanilla extract.
    • Evenly pour the toffee mixture over the pretzels on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake:
    • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 7-8 minutes. Keep an eye on the toffee; it should bubble and slightly darken.
  5. Topping and Optional Sea Salt:
    • Once out of the oven, immediately sprinkle Heath Toffee Bits over the hot toffee-covered pretzels. Press them gently into the toffee layer.
    • For an additional flavor dimension, optionally sprinkle a bit of sea salt over the pretzels.
  6. Cool and Store:
    • Allow the pretzels to cool completely, letting the toffee harden.
    • Break apart the cooled pretzels and store them in an airtight container.
  7. Enjoy:
    • Indulge in these delightful Butter Toffee Pretzels at any time of the day for a perfect blend of sweetness, saltiness, and crunch in each bite.
