Banana Pudding Brownies

Instructions:

 

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set it aside.

2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

3. Add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt to the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined, making sure not to overmix.

4. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

5. Bake the brownies in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the baking dish.

6. While the brownies are cooling, prepare the banana pudding layer. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the mashed bananas, instant vanilla pudding mix, cold milk, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and thickened.

7. Once the brownies have cooled, spread the banana pudding mixture evenly over the top of the brownie layer.

8. In a separate mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the banana pudding layer.

9. If desired, garnish the top of the brownies with sliced bananas and crushed vanilla wafers.

10. Refrigerate the Banana Pudding Brownies for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together and the layers to set.

11. Cut into squares and serve chilled.
