Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large circle or rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick.
In a small bowl, combine the shredded chicken with dried basil, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the chicken with the seasonings.
Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, and then evenly distribute the seasoned chicken on top.
Fold the dough in half to cover the filling. Use your fingers or a fork to seal the edges of the calzone, ensuring that no filling escapes during baking.
Brush the top of the calzone with olive oil, and then sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over it.
Carefully transfer the calzone to the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crispy.
Remove the calzone from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Enjoy your homemade Chicken Parmesan calzone! Serve it with additional marinara sauce for dipping, if desired.
