Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
-Cut the loaf of bread in half horizontally and hollow out some of the bread from the center to create a trough for the filling. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet.
-In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook until browned. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
-In the same skillet, add the sliced onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Cook until the vegetables are softened and slightly caramelized. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
-While the vegetables are cooking, in a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.
-Spread the garlic mayo mixture evenly on both halves of the bread.
-Layer half of the provolone cheese on the bottom half of the bread. Then add the cooked steak on top of the cheese, followed by the cooked vegetables. Finish by topping with the remaining provolone cheese and the shredded mozzarella cheese.
-Place the filled bread on the baking sheet into the preheated oven. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
-Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice into individual servings and serve warm.
