Salted Toffee Pretzel Cracker Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 ounces pretzel crackers
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
- Arrange a single layer of pretzel crackers on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, combine the butter and dark brown sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it boil for 3 minutes.
- Immediately pour the hot butter-sugar mixture over the arranged pretzel crackers, ensuring they are completely covered.
- Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for 5 to 6 minutes.
- Remove the tray from the oven and evenly sprinkle the semi-sweet chocolate chips over the hot toffee-covered crackers. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to soften the chocolate.
- Once the chocolate has softened, spread it evenly over the toffee-covered crackers using a spatula.
- Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the softened chocolate.
- Allow the toffee to cool completely for about 25 minutes.
- Once cooled, cut the toffee into pieces of desired sizes.
