3-Ingredient Mounds Bars

Ingredients:

  • Melted milk chocolate or dark chocolate
  • 3 cups coconut flakes
  • 1 cup condensed milk
  • Almonds (optional, for Almond Joys)

Directions:

  1. Prepare Coconut Filling:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded coconut flakes with the condensed milk. Mix until thoroughly combined and a sticky dough-like consistency forms.

    • Mold the coconut mixture into oblong shapes or bars resembling Mounds bars.
    • Place the shaped bars on a baking sheet or tray lined with parchment paper.
    • Transfer the tray to the freezer and let the bars chill for about 20 minutes to firm up.
  2. Coat with Chocolate:
    • Melt the milk or dark chocolate using a microwave or a double boiler until smooth and creamy.
    • Remove the chilled coconut bars from the freezer. Dip each bar into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are completely coated.
  3. Add Almonds (Optional):
    • If desired, immediately after dipping the bars in chocolate, place an almond on top to create Almond Joy-style bars.
  4. Chill and Serve:
    • Place the chocolate-coated bars back onto the parchment-lined tray.
    • Return the tray to the freezer or refrigerator to allow the chocolate to set and harden.
  5. Enjoy:
    • Once the chocolate coating is firm, the homemade Mounds Bars are ready to enjoy! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
