Cookies and Cream Rolls

Instructions:

  1. On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a 12 x 16-inch rectangle.
  2. Brush the dough with melted butter.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, cocoa powder, and cinnamon.
  4. Sprinkle the sugar mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border along the edges.
  5. Spread the crushed Oreos evenly over the dough.
  6. Starting at the long side, roll up the dough into a jelly roll shape.
  7. Cut the rolled dough into 8 equal pieces.
  8. Place the rolls in an 8- or 9-inch round skillet that has been lightly greased with non-stick cooking spray.
  9. Cover the rolls lightly with plastic wrap that has also been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray, and allow them to rise until doubled in size.
  10. While the rolls are rising, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  11. Remove the plastic wrap and bake the rolls at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  1. While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese and butter until fluffy.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  3. Add milk as needed until the glaze reaches your desired consistency.
  4. Once the rolls are baked, remove them from the oven and place them on a wire rack to cool slightly.
  5. Spread the vanilla cream glaze over the warm rolls.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crushed Oreos over the glaze.
